Which one? The ACT® or the SAT®?

Do schools prefer the SAT or ACT? You may have heard that whether you should take the SAT or ACT depends on where the school is located, what your major is, or what extracurriculars you have on your application. None of that is true! All American schools that require test scores accept both the SAT and the ACT, and they have no preference for one or the other. Whether you should take the SAT or the ACT depends on which one is stronger for you; that is, which one you do better on, compared to other students who take the test.
